Still life is the genre in which Dace Lapiņa feels best. She has said that each work artwork is "a small spatial square in which people feel good and in which everyday objects create beauty and harmony". Still life was first defined in as a genre in 17th century France, and it is perfect way of describing Dace Lapiņa's work, including portraits and figural compositions, as well.
