The image of the flower, saturated with aesthetic beauty and polysemic symbols, flourished in the still-lifes of the 17th century Dutch Old Masters. They ranged from brilliant floral abuundance to ascetic simplification of forms and left their impression on the creative explorations of successive generations.
"Flower Show" with its romantic moods begins symbolically in spring when nature is in full blossom. One of the main themes is dedicated to the queen of flowers - the rose, whose blossom symbolises love, commemoration, suffering and clarity, and which was known in the gardens of Asia 5000 years ago.
